Carlos Idun-Tawiah

We are delighted to announce that I'll Be Here to Remind You, the solo exhibition by acclaimed Ghanaian artist Carlos Idun-Tawiah, premiered at Paris Photo 2025. Following its celebrated debut in Paris, the exhibition is now on view at Galería Alta in Andorra, where it will remain through March 6, 2026.
Some of the biggest names in international media have spotlighted Carlos Idun-Tawiah's exhibition, with glowing coverage in The New York Times, Le Figaro, Dazed, Harper's Bazaar, AD, and El País.
Working from Accra, Carlos Idun-Tawiah transforms photographic archives into evocative contemporary narratives that illuminate the quiet poetry of everyday life.
His poignant images explore universal themes of family, joy, faith, and youth-blurring the boundaries between fiction and reality, past and present, memory and imagination. Through his lens, he celebrates the depth and diversity of African life and the Black experience, revealing their enduring beauty and cultural resonance.
A Collectors Journal accompanies the exhibition, featuring insightful essays by Nathalie Herschdorfer, Director of the Photo Elysée museum, and Bill Shapiro, former Editor-in-Chief of LIFE magazine. The publication was designed by RM.
